Some tips to help YOU help YOUR feet
- Wash your feet daily in warm soapy water.
- Don't soak them in bath salts which dry them, try using Scholl relaxing foot bath.
- Dry thoroughly, especially between toes and dust with foot powder, for example Scholl Cream Powder.
- If your skin between the toes tends to be sweaty, apply surgical spirit.
- Reduce hard skin with a Scholl Foot File.
- Moisturise your feet daily, but not between the toes.
- Massage upwards from the toes towards the knees, to stimulate the circulation and relieve tension.
- Trim your toe nails regularly, using proper nail clippers.
- Cut straight across, not too short, and not down the sides which can lead to in-grown toe nails.
- Change socks or stockings daily and wash them after each wear.
- Keep your feet warm and dry and exercise to improve circulation.
- Check feet regularly for corns, calluses, cuts and breaks in the skin or any unusual changes in colour or temperature.
- If any occur, seek advice and treatment from one of our excellent and friendly Chiropodist/Podiatrist.
